Weymouth Relaxed Performance Happy Tongue is a specially developed Weymouth bit for horses that are too sensitive for a traditional Weymouth. The lower shanks are 55mm long and provide a gentler leverage effect than bits with longer shanks.

The Weymouth bit is designed to be used together with a bradoon when riding with double reins. The original Weymouth bit is designed to apply pressure to the lower jaw and poll. By adding a spring-loaded movable part with Relaxed Performance, a milder bit has been created.

The advantages of this include:

  • Milder pressure on the lower jaw and poll
  • Faster/shorter rein release
  • Provides a good balance between pressure, communication, and interaction between horse and rider.

Delivered with curb chain and hooks.

"For horses that are not so comfortable with a Weymouth, the feeling is significantly better. It's a bit like riding with a regular bridle, the horses move forward with greater confidence in the hand. From one of our test riders, we have also received very positive feedback for horses with tongue issues." - Madelene Engelke
