Harry is a loose ring bit made by Fager Bits.

Straight bits often remain more still in the horse's mouth and are suitable for horses that need more stable support. They are well-suited for horses that have difficulty seeking contact with the bit. The loose rings provide a soft and fine contact with the horse. 

The material Sweet iron is a thin coating placed on top of stainless steel bits to mask the metallic taste. It creates a sweeter taste on the bit that promotes a draw and contact with the horse. Over time, the sweet iron (the blue material) will oxidize and become a more rust-brown color.
