The Baucher bit, also known as a hanging cheek bit, is designed to protect the corners of the mouth and the front cheek teeth by placing the pressure lower down. This also allows the horse to position the bit itself where it prefers to have it (raising or lowering it in the mouth).

Well suited for horses that easily get chafing at the corners of the mouth and are a bit restless in the mouth.

The mouthpiece is 2-piece, which is suitable for horses that dislike tongue pressure.
